Code: Grow Receives $100,000 Grant from Impact100 Metro DetroiT

We’re excited to share that Code: Grow has been awarded a $100,000 grant from Impact100 Metro Detroit to help expand our innovative youth development program through the creation of a state-of-the-art, technology-enabled greenhouse.

Code: Grow brings together digital literacy, environmental education, and workforce readiness through hands-on experiences in urban agriculture and technology. Students learn how to design, build, and program robotic systems that support food production while developing valuable STEM and problem-solving skills.

Thanks to this generous investment, we’ll be able to build a greenhouse and supporting infrastructure within walking distance of several schools. The new space will serve as both a living classroom and an innovation lab, giving students the opportunity to explore agriculture, robotics, sustainability, and technology throughout the entire year.

This exciting expansion will help even more young people gain access to hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for future careers, spark creativity, and empower them to become leaders and innovators in their communities.
